Our Story
Hi plant lovers! I’m Kelly, the founder of KAC Exotic Plant Collective—and like many of you, my plant journey started as a happy accident. What began as a hobby over a decade ago quickly turned my home into a lush jungle, and in early 2024, I started selling plants on Whatnot to make room for new favorites. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with sharing rare and beautiful plants with fellow collectors. Since then, I’ve expanded to more platforms and am now excited to offer my curated collection directly to you.
I’m a self-proclaimed “lazy plant parent”—that’s why Monstera and Philodendrons have a special place in my heart (they forgive me when life gets busy and watering slips my mind). I love the look of artisan pots, but I’m also a root micro-manager at heart, so clear pots and self-watering setups are my go-to for my personal collection.
KAC Exotic Plant Collective is a true small business—run out of my home in southern New Hampshire, with lots of help from my energetic 6-year-old son, Parker. By day, I’m a project manager for a standards organization; by night (and weekend!), I’m sourcing, packing, and shipping plants to collectors like you. I handle every order personally and strive to respond to requests as quickly as possible.
Thank you for supporting my small business and sharing in the joy of plant collecting!
