Shipping
All living items ship the Monday or Tuesday of the following week. Non-living items that are not combined with a living item will ship within 48 hours.
Whenever possible, we use UPS 2 or 3 days for all living items. Non-living, will ship ground. If you would like to upgrade your shipping for something faster, please note that in your order and we will quote you the difference and invoice separately.
Unpack your plants ASAP! Plants do not love being in a box, and it can be more stressful for some plants than others. Your plant will need time to acclimate to your home. Everyone's house is different as far as light, relative humidity, and tempeture. Your plant may be coming from a climate that is different than your house. Do not be surprised if there is a leaf or two that is lost.
Check to see if they need water, and if so, water thoroughly allowing the water to run straight through. Place your plant in a bright, indirect light area. A window with direct light or under a grow light could shock the plant. Slowly reintroduce them.

Maybe - Send us a message before purchasing. It will depend on the existing order size and the shipping already paid.
Yes - Carriers handle all boxes equally whether it says ‘Live Plants’, ‘Fragile’, or nothing at all. Therefore, we cannot expect that boxes will not be sitting in a cold truck all day or night. Adding the heat pack and insulation gives your plants a fighting chance during the journey. The same is true when temperatures are over 100 degrees. Ice packs are available, but it is debatable whether or not they stay cold long enough. This is why we ship UPS 2/3 day whenever possible.
No, we do not.
Plant care
Not necessarily. Your plant(s) may come in different substrates depending on several factors.
Growers dirt: After you have given your plant the time to acclimate to your environment, gently remove the plant from the nursery pot if it is not in a clear pot and check the roots. If the roots are coming out of the bottom, circling the bottom, and looking ‘root-bound’, then you should remove about 50-100% of that grower's dirt and replace it with well-draining soil.
Chunky soil mix: Keep it in this mix, this is our preferred mix. When the roots are circling or coming out of the bottom, you can go ahead and transfer it to a larger pot. A good rule of thumb is a half-inch to one-inch larger in diameter.
Perlite or pon: We use straight perlite or a perlite/sphagnum moss mix on imports. We pot them in clear pots because we are root micro-managers! You can leave them in this mix until they are leaning into root-bound. You can upsize the pot and continue with the substrate or transfer it to a very well-draining chunky mix. This can be soil-less or with soil mix. The important piece is that the water can run straight through.
